6th Annual Cherry Blossom Festival

Red Wing Park (1398 General Booth Blvd) in Virginia Beach 11:00 am - 2:30 pm
This event will offer the rich culture and beauty of Japanese music, martial arts, cultural activities and demonstrations such as the paper art of Origami, Oriental Pottery, Gyotaku and more. Key entertainers will be the Nippon College of Sport and Science University Dance Team with their traditional drums and other instruments under the direction of Professors Miyake and Kassai. Hailing from Tokyo, Japan, this is the team’s first visit and premiere performance in the United States.
Food and beverage are available for purchase. Patrons are welcome to bring a blanket or lawn chair for the performances. In the event of inclement weather conditions, the event will be postponed until Sunday, March 28, at the same time and place.
ADMISSION IS FREE.
