National parks eliminate fees for the weekend
The National Park Service is waiving admission fees at 147 parks around the country on Saturday, June 5 and Sunday, June 6.
Locally, guests can visit Historic Jamestowne, the first permanent English settlement in North America, and Yorktown Battlefield, the site of the final major battle in the Revolutionary War, for free. Admission to the two sites generally costs $10 per adult. The national park is located at 1368 Colonial Parkway in Williamsburg.

Assateague Island National Seashore
George Washington Birthplace National Monument
George Washington Memorial Parkway's Great Falls Park
Manassas National Battlefield Park
Petersburg National Battlefield
