This is Mother's Day Weekend, a great time to spend some time with Mom.

The Virginia Historical Society is pleased to announce that the Wyndham B. Blanton Scholars Forum will be held July 22–24, 2010.
The theme of the 2010 forum will be “The Changing Face of Virginia.” You will be able to let everyone know how you think your community and Virginia has changed through the new Virginia Historical Society blog! That’s right, we are letting you help with our blog! You will be able to show Virginia what is special about your hometown. You can use video, photographs, writings, or even drawings to describe your perception of your community.
All Virginia high school juniors and seniors are encouraged to apply!Deadline
Applications must be received by June 1, 2010. Only four applications per school will be considered. Those accepted will be notified by June 18, 2010.
